This toy cardboard robot named Danbo was commissioned by Amazon Japan from Azuma Kiyohiko, the creator of the manga character Yotsuba-chan who lives with her adoptive work-at-home dad, and whose happy-go-lucky adventures are recounted in the popular serial, Yotsubato/Yotsuba.

For those who want to buy Danbo, Amazon Japan has released two versions of Danbo toy (made of PVC), regular one (130mm in height) & mini one (80mm). Just like the regular version, mini Danbo’s eyes can light up with a switch on the side of her head. You can order mini Danbo @ebay or yesasia.
